I am 21 years old and I recently joined the NFU as a Student & Young Farmer and received one of Leonard’s ‘Five a Day Challenge’ cards. I’ve read more about the work Leonard’s family have been doing with regard to championing mental health awareness, particularly for young people, and they should absolutely be commended for this. I read the Daily Mail article today on the sad loss of Leonard Eadon. I found it deeply moving. My heart goes out to Mr&Mrs Eadon who are doing some remarkable work regarding mental health awareness. I didn't know Leonard but I would have been honoured to have been a friend of his. The look in his smile was that of a good and decent young man. Leonard you are so missed…. Another Christmas another Boxing Day another birthday without your big personality and lovely you being with us all. So Em and Chris will soon be having their first baby….. a little boy who so should have had Uncle Leonard in his life…. You should have been on the journey with them… I know how much they both miss you every day. Your Mum and Dad have been amazing - just saw they’ve raised over £80,000 this year… that’s incredible. Leonard, I miss you so so much. Nothing is the same without you here. I went to a ball at the weekend, the room was so packed, yet felt so empty without you, I missed having a silly dance with you and our drunken chats and being stupidly hungover together the next day with Chris moaning at us for not doing anything all day (always the sensible one!). My birthday wasn't the same without you coming out for a meal, there was a chair at the table for you, I just wish you were in it. Mum even told my sister to leave the chair next to Chris for you, and then she remembered 💔 Life is just not the same, and will never be the same again. Not a day goes by where we don't think and talk about you. Some days are much harder than others. I'll never ever understand why it had to be like this 💔 Keep shining bright up there 🌟 And we will keep looking after each other down here. Xx

Len, since you’ve passed I’ve found it incredibly difficult to believe your gone. I miss the days when you were round granddad Franks showing me your homework and it looking like a completely different language to me. You smashing your GCSE’s and getting into uni, somehow over night you became a man. A man that I am proud to have once known, a man that Andy and Lynda can think about with such pride. Oh Leonard, you were the hardest goodbye I've ever had to say. Whenever people talk about you I always hear the same sentence "He was always there for me"... Why wouldn't you just let us be there for you as well? We would have helped you fix anything, but now we are all totally broken and there is nothing that can fix us. Why did it have to be like this 😢💔

I have been lucky enough to never have to lose someone close to me, until now, and it hurts in a way I can't explain. I don't think Len would have even considered me a friend but I did him. He was always full of kindness and would stand up for what he believed in. I am honoured to have been in his tutor group and spend time with him at Southam's got talent/music events. School wasn't easy, and Len helped me in ways he probably couldn't imagine. I had been suffering with a whole realm of personal issues and mental health struggles, and Len always spoke to me with such an understanding, mature, hopeful energy, which saved me on more than one occasion. Thank you Len, for being you. You made my life better by being in it. X

Feel so sad about Leonard leaving us all. He was just so lovely and so loved. I cannot imagine the pain of the family. I see the pain of my beautiful daughter Emily and Chris and how broken they both are. I wish there was a way to take the pain and sadness away. I echo Leonard’s Grandads question…. Why Leonard Why? Len was my partners friend and mine I only saw him for first time last year for first time since school. Len was such a fun guy to be around and everyone who new him loved and adore him. He was such a special guy. We be truly missed. I still can’t believe he is gone. Much love. Elisa

I went to school with Len and it really hit me when I heard the news, I couldn’t believe it. He was always so kind and lovely. He was one of the few people who was nice to me in school and I’ll always remember him for that. It is so sad that he is no longer with us, but his legacy can help raise funds for others in need.
