Dedicated to the memory of Len

World Suicide Prevention Day 10th September 2022

We can all play a role in supporting those experiencing a suicidal crisis or those bereaved by suicide whether as a member of society, as a child, as a parent, as a friend, as a colleague or as a person with lived experience. We can all encourage understanding about the issue, reach in to people who are struggling, and share our experiences.

We can all create hope through action and be the light.

This site is a tribute to our son Len, who was born in Napton on the Hill on 14 February 1999. He lived life to the full and his kind, caring and outgoing nature touched many people, particularly across the agricultural community. Len is much loved and will always be remembered. We could not be any prouder of him.

This site is a celebration of his life. Our message to everyone reading this:

BE SAFE and TALK to SOMEONE

The site will be used to add fund raising events for charities helping with mental health issues in young people in the agricultural sector. Massive thanks for all of your heartwarming generosity - both in donations, photos and comments. Please feel free to use the Thoughts and Life Stories sections below to help build a treasure trove of memories. We cannot thank you all enough.

Please follow this site for updates in the coming months.

Thoughts

Dearest Len, the heart weeps as the memories shine…your strength and courage in life continuing as we reach to others helping the awareness and an understanding of the complexities of thy selfs emotions! Without you this reach would be weaker. You are a living strength whom we cannot see……and so to all the people you have and continue to help in your way…..with enduring love xx

Leonard, I miss you so so much. Nothing is the same without you here. I went to a ball at the weekend, the room was so packed, yet felt so empty without you, I missed having a silly dance with you and our drunken chats and being stupidly hungover together the next day with Chris moaning at us for not doing anything all day (always the sensible one!). My birthday wasn't the same without you coming out for a meal, there was a chair at the table for you, I just wish you were in it. Mum even told my sister to leave the chair next to Chris for you, and then she remembered 💔 Life is just not the same, and will never be the same again. Not a day goes by where we don't think and talk about you. Some days are much harder than others. I'll never ever understand why it had to be like this 💔 Keep shining bright up there 🌟 And we will keep looking after each other down here. Xx

Len, since you’ve passed I’ve found it incredibly difficult to believe your gone. I miss the days when you were round granddad Franks showing me your homework and it looking like a completely different language to me. You smashing your GCSE’s and getting into uni, somehow over night you became a man. A man that I am proud to have once known, a man that Andy and Lynda can think about with such pride. I send my love to Andy and Lynda xxx
