About
The NFU Poultry Industry Programme builds on the existing skills and knowledge of the young people that take part to help them develop their careers as future industry leaders. As part of this program the group have organised a charity dinner and evening at the races for ex PIP group members to attend.
The 2025 PIP group have partnered with Len’s Light for this event. Len’s Light is a legacy for Len Eadon, shining a light on mental health issues in the rural community and raising funds to support charities tackling these issues. https://lenslight.co.uk
Since losing Len, Andy and Linda have travelled the length and width of the country in fundraising and awareness efforts and we are very grateful of them giving up their time to be with us on the night. As it stands, they have currently raised just over £256,000 and we hope to be able to add to that in a small way with the event. Thank you to every one of those businesses and individuals.
Len’s Light supports 3 charities in particular:
PAPYRUS
Prevention of Young Suicide is the UK charity dedicated to the prevention of suicide and the promotion of positive mental health and emotional wellbeing in young people. We believe that no young person should have to struggle alone with thoughts of suicide
Farming Community Network
Helping to raise awareness and money for charities offering support of all those in need in the farming community, with a particular focus on farmers and farming families.
Yellow Wellies
A small independent registered charity working throughout the UK to address the attitudes and behaviours to farm safety and poor mental health in the next generation of farmers (under 40yrs).
We hope you can join us on the evening and if not donate generously to support these three amazing charities along with the excellent work of the Len’s Light campaign.
Thank you
